Ok, let me start things off with the "good" art. To me "good" art is what appeals to me, everybody has their own different and unique tastes and perspectives when it comes to certain things including art. Art & artists that appeal from me range from Jean-Michel Basquiat, Michelangelo Caravaggio, George Condo, Brian Donnelly famously known as "Kaws" there are many more artists but these ate the first names that come to mind when I think about looking for art. I love their pieces of art and I love how their minds work when they create or created their masterpieces, I feel that I can resonate/relate to their art work. You can't just glance at a painting you have to sit there and analyze what you think was running through the artists mind when they were designing this and if some parts of your life applies to the painting. I will be showing pictures of some of their art work and I will throw in a little bit of Riccardo Tisci's designs as well which I really, really do love.
Now it's time for "bad" art. In my opinion I don't think there's a such thing as "bad" art, I have that premise because just cause a painting doesn't appeal to you doesn't mean it won't to somebody else, you may see it as "bad" art but someone else might see it as a masterpiece. Someone can say the art you like is "bad" art but you know it's not because you like it, that backs up my point only because you don't like it or because it doesn't resonate with you doesn't mean it's "bad" art. Some people's opinions or perspective might change on a certain piece of work because at first glance they might not seem to understand it, you may call a painting of just a plain black surface "bad" art but you may not know the thought process put into that painting, what the person went through and why they used that color or simplicity to explain or describe what they had in their minds. We all have our different thoughts and opinions, instead of calling something bad you can always say, I don't understand what the artist was trying to show with this painting, this doesn't appeal to me. That's what makes us as humans so amazing that we aren't the same we all have different tastes and perspectives.
